The 3rd Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival (LABRFF) has just announced its winners, awarding 12 categories. Besides the trophies, the festival had special awards given by Teleimage: the best feature film received $10,000 in services and the best short film received $5,000 in services. The Brazilian Tourist Board, EMBRATUR, announced today along with Google Brazil, the world’s first Google/YouTube brand channel uniquely combining videos and Google maps to provide an interactive online Brazilian tourism experience. Now accessible at www.youtube.com/visitbrasil, the site currently features more than 85 videos from Brazil. This is the first convergence of its kind involving Google Maps into YouTube to date.

LABRFF has a very strong industry section by offering seminars, workshops, pitchings, one-to-one scheduled meetings, and networking events. It also covers everything from production to distribution.
